“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven””
2024-25 Annual Report
From the Head of School:
Appreciating Each Season
Ecclesiastes 3 teaches that there is a time for everything and that our lives have a certain seasonality. That is a wonderful and beautiful gift that God has given to us, because it means that there is change and flux, ebb and flow, rather than monotony and drudgery. Furthermore, it is a grace that the painful moments aren’t forever. However, it also means that we need to be intentional about pausing, reflecting, and appreciating each season of life in its own right.
Our Annual Report is an opportunity to do just that. We look back on the 2024-25 school year to appreciate all that the Lord has done:
Our NUMBERS continued to grow. For the 6th consecutive year, our enrollment grew, reaching a record 267 students. Over the past 10 years, we have seen a 172% increase in enrollment. The Lord continues to bless us with a growing student body — and incredible students and families who believe deeply in our mission.
ATHLETIC Growth and Achievement. Along with enrollment growth, we also saw an increase in the number of students participating in athletics: 62% of all 5-12th graders participated on a team. We also saw higher winning percentages and several top placements in our league.
MS Boys Cross Country won the Virginia Classical School Championship
MS Boys Cross Country won our league State Championship
JV Girls Volleyball won the Griffin Classic Invitational Tournament
MS Girls Track and Field won our league State Championship
While winning isn’t everything, we believe it’s important to have a high-quality athletic program, and winning is a key metric for that.
Growth in CLUB offerings. We continue to offer students various extracurricular opportunities. This year, we expanded those offerings to include Choir Club and Lego League for the first time. That is on top of our usual Chess Club, Drama Club, and Dance.
Logic School BUILDING Completion. By God’s grace, we completed a 3,000-square-foot addition to the Logic School Building (formerly the Rookery, formerly the Cannery), with the first classes being held in the new building in April. The addition included three new, larger classrooms and additional restrooms. With this expansion, all of Logic School (6-8th grade) is back under one roof.
20th ANNIVERSARY. Over the 2024-25 school year, we took many opportunities to celebrate God’s faithfulness to Redeemer as we marked 20 years as a school.
It is with all of this in mind that I say THANK YOU for supporting Redeemer Classical School with your time, talent, and treasure. Your generous investment in the lives of our students and staff is truly remarkable. It isn’t an exaggeration to say that we couldn’t do this without you. I pray that, as you read through this Annual Report, that you’re encouraged by all of the amazing things that are happening at Redeemer on a daily basis. God is at work here in profound ways, and it’s a blessing and privilege to be a part of that work.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Ron Hoch

The Numbers
Not everyone loves numbers like we do, but they can tell a very compelling story. Within their digits you can see some of the blessings we’ve experienced — as well as the challenges we face — as a school. We’ve highlighted a few of the more interesting numbers below for you.
Income (total = $2,786,855)
We bring in the bulk of our income from tuition, but you can see that just tuition does not cover all of our costs. In 2024-25, it didn’t even cover our personnel costs. Each year we raise a significant amount — through the generosity of donors like you — to help bridge the gap between tuition income and operating expenses.
Expenses (total = $2,639,467)
If you look at our expenses you’ll quickly see that the vast majority of our outlay goes toward faculty and staff — the amazing professionals that make Redeemer so special (and successful). We could talk about their training and experience, but it’s their faith, character, dedication and passion that truly sets them apart. And we want to make sure they’re compensated appropriately.
Your gifts to Redeemer’s ANNUAL FUND goes directly to making a high-quality classical and Christian education possiblible for all of our students.
Maxima Gratia
THANK YOu to all of the generous donors — both individuals and businesses — that believe in Redeemer Classical School and invest in the lives of our teachers and students.
