RCS Students Earn Seven Awards at the 2018 Regional Science Fair
Congratulations to the six students who represented Redeemer Classical School at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Science Fair held on March 6th at James Madison University. Josie Brumfield, Madeleine Dunaway, Jeremiah Esteban, Josiah Leach, Henry Matter, and Virginia Velker were the top finishers at our school science fair, and went on to compete against students from schools throughout the Shenandoah Valley.

2018 Virginia National Geographic State Bee Semifinalist
Nathan Dunaway, a sixth grader, has qualified as one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2018 Virginia National Geographic State Bee. The contest will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018.

Mr./Ms. Olympus Contest and The Vergil Award
Mr./Ms. Olympus Contest
On February 14, the RCS hosted the Mr./Ms. Olympus Contest. Hearing that Zeus is retiring to a serene Mediterranean island, 18 Greek gods and goddesses (who looked quite a bit like our 6th and 7th students) competed to become Supreme Ruler of Olympus. Apollo (aka Jeremiah Esteban) won the competition, followed by Metis (Kaitlin Newkirk). Hephaestus (Nathan Dunaway) and Bacchus (Silas King) tied for third place.

2018 RCS Science Fair
The RCS Science Fair was held Thursday, February 1st and Friday, February 2nd. It was great to see all of the fun projects completed by each of our classes. We are so grateful to our four judges, who are members of the scientific community, for coming out to the school on Thursday to hear 7th and 8th grade students present their projects. 2018 Geographic Bee
On January 24, Redeemer Classical School held the annual Geographic Bee offered through the National Geographic Society. All 31 logic school students participated in the first three preliminary rounds by answering questions about U.S. States, fascinating geographical facts, and countries around the world.
