Festival of the Ages…a HUGE success!

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

.

The Redeemer Classical School’s Festival of the Ages, held February 21 at the Keezletown Campus, was a resounding success!  Over 300 people attended the Festival and enjoyed medieval games, prizes, popcorn, a medieval feast, science experiments, Keva block building, marionette shows, art and music displays, children’s activities and more!  The Jester was a true delight performing throughout the entire Festival, including performances with a unicycle, juggling and balloon creations!

Academic Director, Teresa Patton, kept quite busy in the Curriculum Room giving hourly talks on the benefits of Classical Education as well as what Redeemer has to offer in grades K-8.  Displays from the library and classrooms were enjoyed by the participants.

Many of the events were sponsored by local businesses;

Scott A. Dunaway, DDS

Layman & Nichols, PC

Family Talk Magazine

Massanutten Animal Clinic

The Stratford Companies

Ritchie Law Firm,PLC

MOD Displays

Weaver’s Flooring America

Peakside Pharmacy Care Center

Rockingham Rent All, Inc.

Chick-fil-A of Harrisonburg

Redeemer would also like to publicly thank the many RCS family volunteers that brought the Festival to life.

Redeemer holds Informational Coffees in the relaxed atmosphere of a RCS parent’s home.  Morning Open Houses can also be arranged by calling or emailing the school to schedule an appointment.  Classroom visits are encouraged for new families wishing to learn more about the school.
