Dr. Ike Lassiter Appointed Headmaster

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

Dr. Isaac “Ike” Lassiter has been named by the Board of Directors as the first full-time Headmaster of Redeemer Classical School. His appointment is effective August 1, 2006 after the completion of his contract at the Westminster Schools of Augusta as Academic Dean.

Dr. Lassiter and his wife, Sally, will be relocating to the Valley after a nearly 30 year tenure at schools throughout the southeast. He began his career in school administration as Headmaster of a new school in Atlanta called Mount Vernon Christian Academy and most recently has been in Augusta, GA at Westminster. Ike and Sally noted that the opportunity at Redeemer is like coming full-circle and are excited about what they have seen at Redeemer.

Ike holds a BS degree in engineering from Georgia Tech, an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a PhD in science education from Georgia State University.

The Lassiters have purchased a house in Bridgewater, and are looking forward to calling the Valley home.
